The following description comes from the event organizer.

Michael Ferguson is a Pacific Northwest native who graduated from the Burnley School for Professional Art, now known as the Seattle Art Institute, and first worked for Battell as an illustrator and Boeing as a cartoonist. In 1988 he began to pursue fine art full time. He is influenced constantly by the Pacific Northwest's rich and varied landscape and enjoys bringing to life thoughtful and vibrant interpretations of the place he lives. His painting style is basically representational, though realism can turn into a fractured multi-color approach.

"Whether wandering in the woods or in my mind…these paintings have a connection to reality - some, barely.

However, that small but important connection makes the departure into fantasy all the more delightful for me. Both past memories and recent observations trigger new points of departure that continue to inspire me to work on the craft of painting. "

-Michael Ferguson

This show includes twenty paintings by Michael Ferguson and will be up in the gallery through February 26th.

The opening reception is Saturday February 4th, 4-6pm. Michael will be in attendance and we will have snacks and wine.

RSVP is not necessary for this event.
