The following description comes from the event organizer.

Folio: The Seattle Athenaeum invites you to the first in a series of fundraising dinners modeled after the Jefferson Dinners. Join us for an evening of conversation, with dinner and wine sourced locally from Pike Place Market.

Our question this time is “What Will The News Become?”

As collection and delivery of the news changes profoundly under the onslaught of the Internet, social media, smartphones and now AI, who will do the work, how will it be paid for, whose interests might it reflect, and how will it serve its historic mission to help democracy work?

Folio aims to raise $10,000 to support our work and our commitment to the value of Every Book a Conversation.

Seating is limited to 14 guests.
