Without a doubt, most Seattleites have never heard of Chewelah, Washington (population 2,607 as of the 2010 Census), though, also without a doubt, many Seattleites have heard the D’Angelo-smooth, soul-pop stylings of Allen Stone. Riding the promotional high for his 2019 Jamie Lidell–produced Building Balance—his fourth R&B studio-seducer—the soon-to-be-33 Stone has dueted with American Idol contestants, but more interestingly orchestrated a series he calls his Karaoke Extravaganza Tour, granting fans their own mic magic to belt out curated hits from Stone’s discography and other non-Stone karaoke jewels. England songwriter and producer Samm Henshaw, who previously supported Chance the Rapper, will share the sweaty stage and Stone’s unofficially belated, home-state bday celebration. by Zach Frimmel
