Traver Gallery is pleased to welcome Ann Wåhlström to Traver Gallery for her first solo exhibition with us. Currents, the show’s title, alludes to Wåhlström’s inspiration for her exquisitely designed soft vessels. She says of her work, “My work is organic and fluid. I play and experiment with various patterns, first with watercolor and paper. Following the shapes of the objects, I try to interpret the movement of water around stones and plants. By using a combination of classic coloring techniques including murrine, cane, and bit work, I transform my drawings into fluid vessel forms and stone-like pieces.”
