The third annual edition of Seattle’s underground heavy music festival features an impressive lineup of more than 30 bands over Northwest Terror Fest’s three days, plus several more at the pre-fest kickoff. Among the most notable headliners are elder statesmen of grindcore Pig Destroyer (Saturday); Swedish crusty d-beat punk makers Wolfbrigade (Friday); slow-building sludge and pummeling doom metal purveyors Inter Arma (Friday); and 1970s-spawned sword-and-sorcery-minded heavy-metal-turned-proto-doom-and-power-metal vets Cirith Ungol, who originally disbanded in 1992, but regrouped in 2016.
