In this entertaining annual Black History Month tribute to black excellence, community members, political leaders, artists, and others will explore the rich incarnations of black comedy and its role in raising awareness of social issues. After some remarks, a musical performance by Rio Chanae, an award ceremony, a chat on the history of black comedy, and more music, the jokes will begin: Nate Jackson will headline, with opening sets by Tawanna Buchanan and Felisha Barnes.
