Christopher Titus’s comedy revolves around his unsparing observations about his flaws, conflicts, relationship fuck-ups, and other fiascos. The modus operandi here is “You gotta laugh to keep from crying,” and few excel with more wincing humor than Titus. You leave one of his sets grateful you’ve not suffered the harrowing situations and familial dysfunction he’s experienced. The California-born comic has parlayed these painfully funny/funnily painful tales into a booming career that’s encompassed seven albums, seven Comedy Central stand-up specials, and a Fox television show called Titus.
