“Doing the outdoors" can be intimidating. It feels like you need all the right gear ($$$), to be super fit (difficult), and to know everything about nature (time-consuming). At the Explore the Outdoors Family Fair, organizations advocating for BIPOC reclamation of outdoor spaces will help make getting outside more accessible, even if you don't consider yourself "outdoorsy." The event will include games, snacks, and workshops, as well as presentations from the host and outdoor enthusiasts featured on the Cascade PBS series “Out & Back with Alison Mariella Désir.”
