The following description comes from the event organizer.

In Reel Life series presents She’s got you (High), original music inspired by the movie (500) Days of Summer. In Reel Life series is a songwriting event that features local songwriters showcase a new song as if they are writing for a motion picture soundtrack — entirely based on, or inspired by moments on a featured movie. Songwriters will share their process and will perform their new songs, live during their set.

Dax Millan, Seattle based Sad Indie Folk writer who never shies away on stories inspired by the sadder somber spectrum, translating emotional limbos into lyrical tangibility that most listeners can takeaway and escape with.

Peter Donovan is an astute musical storyteller, His perceptive songs span genres and feature narratives based on both real-life and fictitious characters, written with a contemplative heart.

Aimee Lefkowicz, angsty-folk singer/songwriter combines her love for indie folk with a 90s femme rock sound to tell her own stories through clever, girly, and gritty lyrics.

Asia, Indie folk singer/songwriter inspired by artists like Hozier and Stephen Day. Her songs are an earnest reflection of a complex life, highlighting both positive growth and inevitable strife. Delivering it all with passion and wit, she exudes zealousness that’s quite transcendent on any stage she’s graced.
