Red Bull Lords of the Floor
The following description comes from the event organizer.
After more than two decades, Red Bull Lords of the Floor is back. The global 2v2 crew battle returns to celebrate the history of breaking while also spotlighting the future of the community.
Red Bull Lords Of The Floor will feature 16 international duos who are either looking to take care of unfinished business or make their mark on the global stage. 15 crews have been invited, 1 crew spot is available for you to battle.
On Saturday, April 6th, the world’s best b-boys and b-girls, including 2024 Olympians, will convene in Seattle to compete in the historic breakdancing competition Red Bull Lords of the Floor. Original Red Bull Lords of the Floor emcee, Jo Koy will return to his b-boy roots to host the event, and former B-Boy/iconic hip-hop artists Common will perform as a special musical guest.
In 2001, Red Bull Lords of the Floor was the largest breaking event of its time. It featured the country’s greatest breakers in an unforgettable evening of battles that are still talked about to this day by the community. The original event served as a blueprint for modern competitive breaking and transformed the dance from a fringe art into a global phenomenon. The legendary event makes its homecoming return over two decades since its inception, at WAMU Theater, and as breaking heads to the Paris Games, Red Bull Lords of the Floor offers a front row seat into the new Olympic discipline.
