FOOD & DRINK
Try limited indoor dining (or not?). Indoor dining is back on the menu, and many bars and restaurants, such as Unicorn Like List , Champagne Diner Like List , Eden Hill Like List , San Fermo Like List , Casco Antiguo Like List , and Mr. West Like List , have cautiously reopened limited indoor seating at 25% capacity. The decision to continue with indoor dining is decidedly controversial—according to Eater Seattle’s poll, 70% of respondents don’t want to dine indoors at all, and some of Seattle's most well-known chefs, like Addo Like List ’s Eric Rivera and Kamonegi Like List ’s Mutsuko Soma, have been vocal about opposing the decision. Charles Mudede has more on the subject. If you're looking for an unconventional solution, the Great Wheel Like List is now serving fancy four-course meals within its gondolas, which seat four, or you can play it safe(r) and:
Scope out some cozy patios. With more airflow, outdoor dining is usually a safer alternative to dining maskless indoors, and there are plenty of hygge options around town to get you through the final stretch of winter. Grab a deck of cards and hit up the King's Hardware Like List patio in Ballard for an al fresco game night with beer and snacks. Alternately, bring along a good book and lounge on the heated terrace at Sabine Like List with coffee and pastries. Other prime destinations include L’Oursin Like List ’s adorable après-ski option with cheesy fondue, charcuterie, and mulled wine for two (available by reservation), waterfront dining at Westward Like List in Wallingford or JarrBar Like List downtown, and comfort food havens Revel Like List and Musang Like List .
Try khao man gai. The revered dish khao man gai, a Thai version of the Chinese dish Hainanese chicken rice, is a super-simple, sublime combination of poached chicken, seasoned rice, and crisp cucumber garnishes, with a side of chicken broth—and it's popping up everywhere lately. Two new spots serving the dish, Khao Man Gai Thai Chicken Rice Like List and Drunken Chicken Like List , have recently landed on the scene. Sugar Hill Like List co-owner Guitar Srisuthiamorn also specializes in the dish and serves it for takeout under the name Guitar's Khao Man Gai Like List , and you can also find it at Pop Pop Thai Street Food Like List and Pink Bee Like List .
Grab some Super Bowl snacks. The Super Bowl LV Past Event Like List is this Sunday, February 7. Whether you're rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or you're just in it for the commercials and halftime show, one thing's for sure: Being prepared with an arsenal of snacks is absolutely imperative for your game-day viewing. We've gathered a list Like List of great local options, from takeout specials, like Serious TakeOut Like List 's "big game ultimate snack pack" with buffalo wings, nachos, and "pizza tots," to places open for outdoor dining or limited indoor dining where you can watch the game, like the West Seattle sports bar Admiral Pub Like List .
Celebrate National Pizza Pie Day. This Tuesday, February 9, is National Pizza Pie Day, but why not get started early by plotting to add a few new melty, cheesy pies to your personal takeout repertoire? Detroit-style pizza is currently all the rage, beloved for its rectangular shape and burnished, frico-like edges, and the recently opened pizzerias Cornelly Like List and Moto Like List both serve it. It's also available at South Town Pie Like List and Sunny Hill Like List . Other pizzas well worth your time and consideration include the Jersey-style slices at Dino's Tomato Pie, the lovely wood-fired creations at Delancey, New York-style varieties at Supreme Like List , inimitable Chicago deep dish at Windy City Pie, and thoughtfully sourced pizza at Humble Pie Like List .

Rip it up for Clash Day. Seattle has bred its fair share of internationally recognized musical icons (Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Sir Mix-a-Lot, Chris Cornell, Kenny G), and the members of the exalted British punk band the Clash are sadly not among them. However! The beloved Seattle indie radio station KEXP is the progenitor of International Clash Day Past Event Like List (Friday), which started in 2013 on The Morning Show with John Richards, who happened to be on a Joe Strummer kick that day and incited his listeners' insatiable thirst for the band's anti-fascist anthems. (Learn more about it in this video.) COVID won't change anything about this year's event, so queue up the live stream or go for a drive and keep it locked on 90.3 FM for cuts and classics by the band, covers by local artists, a bunch of obscure references and English puns, and more Clash-related audio content.
Go to the movies (with caution). Under Phase 2 of Governor Inslee's Healthy Washington reopening plan, many movie theaters are reopening their doors for limited-capacity screenings. While we think it's still safer to go to a drive-in (Oak Harbor's Blue Fox Remind Like List and Port Orchard's Rodeo Drive-In Remind Like List are both up and running this weekend) or queue up virtual cinema Like List options at home, those who choose to go out must remember to 1) buy tickets in advance, 2) keep a safe distance, and 3) wear a mask (preferably two) when not eating or drinking.

Repetition Suppression
Past Event
Like
List
Seattle artist Natalie Krick's photographic works slice and reconfigure bodies in suggestive ways, pulling the viewer into her beautifully saturated and colorful pieces. Her photos best reflect the experience of being a woman and being seen: fragmented, pieced together, more than the sum of our parts. There's an elusive sensuality to her work that subverts expectation. In her show, Repetition Suppression, Krick plays around with the idea of the femme fatale from Hollywood crime melodramas of the '40s and '50s, crafting mysterious and alluring figures in each photo. The exhibition title alludes to a phenomenon called repetition suppression, a reduced neural response observed when certain stimuli are presented more than once. It's an acknowledgment of the femme fatale as a now-common trope of an unknowable, ambiguous woman. JASMYNE KEIMIG
